WHSB's Junior Team, and Intermediate Team qualify for the English Schools’ Athletics Association (ESAA) Track and Field Cup finals
Westcliff High School for Boys is once again making an impact on the national athletics stage, as both our Junior Team, and Intermediate Team have qualified for the English Schools’ Athletics Association (ESAA) Track and Field Cup finals which take place in Stoke on Saturday 6 July.
Working exceptionally hard, securing excellent results in the preliminary rounds and regional final, our students performed to, and indeed exceeded, their targets. Outstanding individual performances resulted in some impressive personal best scores, with the overall teams’ results earning them their well-deserved places in the National Finals this coming weekend.
The School could not be prouder of our talented athletes, and we wish them well with their performances as they compete for the ESAA National Title on Saturday. We also congratulate them on their outstanding achievements to date, and offer our thanks to Mr Futcher, Mr Sexton, Mr Greaves and Mr Morrant for their superb coaching and support for the pupils. Good luck everyone!
